Public Transport Plea

From Motueka Community Board Update: Motueka Golden Bay News 25/01/2007

Motueka community activist Duncan Eddy called on the board to reconsider the implementation of a public transport system in and around Motueka. Low income and elderly residents were in desperate need of such a service, and as Motueka was increasingly reliant on its tourism industry, a bus service would benefit both residents and visitors.

He called on the board to seek the council's Port Nelson payout funds to fund a feasibility study into the issue.
